Hi lovelies, I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything like this but I’m back with a fresh and rosy makeup look for you all! Maybe it’s because spring is here to say hello, or maybe because i’m right into the minimal side of things lately, but soft glowy looks with flushed cheeks and rosy stained lips just have me falling head over heels in love! September has arrived and with it comes a new season, Spring! I am just SO excited for spring to make its way back into town and to prepare for the fresh start in life that I’m going to use it as I thought I would share with you a cheeky lil’ list of my September goals to kick-start the new season off right!
Here are my 5 goals for September! (more…)
Hi Pumpkins, I’m sure you will already know by now – unless you have been living under a rock – Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has officially dropped in stores and online and the beauty world has been left stunned.
When it comes to celebrity cosmetics I must say that I generally don’t go in with a high expectation – I tend to assume that it will be a) cheaply made, b) way overpriced and c) poor to average quality – but not this time around. Even before it launched it has been very clear to see that this is a cosmetics line that has been very well thought out, made with effort and with diversity in line, which unfortunately isn’t the case for all brands.
Rihanna created Fenty Beauty “so that women everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of skin tones, developing formulas for all skin types and pinpointing universal shades.
“Makeup is there for you to have fun. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.” –Rihanna
So with all of the excitement buzzing and the range being launched yesterday I thought I would give you all a little round-up of what exactly has been released, where to buy and what to expect when it comes to finishes, price range and shades!
Side note: Fenty Beauty is 100% cruelty free.
Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer $ 32 US – $ 46 AU
Described as “a shine-stopping, pore-diffusing primer that smooths the way for better foundation application and longer wear” Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r primer fills in your pores and leaves you with a soft matte finish.
To be totally honest with you, I am kind of glad that she has released matte finished products, whilst I love a nice luminous finish that is all makeup brands seem to be catering for of the late! So this was nice and different to what is out and on trend at the moment.
Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation $34 US – $50 AU
She wasn’t playing games when she said that this was created for diversity. 40 shades have been released with an assortment of cool, warm and different undertones to find a shade for everyone. So much respect for Fenty Beauty for doing something that all cosmetic brands should do but don’t.
Described as “giving your skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to your ideal coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin.”
I have read a little further into this product and they made it very clear that you must moisturise before applying this foundation, especially if you have dry skin. So that could be something to note if you do suffer from dry skin, either be prepared to load up on moisturiser before hand or maybe skip this and wait until she released another formula and finish.
Match Stix (MATTE/SHIMMER) $ 25US – $ 37AU
Sticks are back baaaby… well they never left really but the last 12 months has really seen brands come out with a lot more, and apparently Fenty Beauty is no exception.
These little magnetised sticks come in a 20 shade range of mattes, perfect for concealing and contouring, and 10 shades of incredible shimmer for blush, highlight and bronzer.
I will admit, some of them I can’t see myself purchasing such as confetti or unicorn because the shimmer purples just aren’t my style, but ‘Yacht Lyfe’, ‘Starstuck’ and ‘Trippin’ are calling out my name.
MATCH STICKS TRIO $54 us- $79au
These are the exact same deal as the Match Stix above, just they come in a trio for concealing, contouring and highlight! You can either choose from the four pre-selected bundles that cater for light, medium, tan and deep skin tones, or you can customize one and choose your own shades on the Fenty Beauty website.
It is slightly annoying that Sephora doesn’t give you the option to customise your shades but just know that you can if you go through the Fenty Beauty website for the same price.
KILlaWATT freestyle highlights (single & duo) $34US – $50AU
YES, YES, YES and more YES!! These two toned pressed highlight powders offer one day time wearable highlight and one BLINDING highlight for nights out or the gal with extra flair. Described as “Weightless cream-powder hybrid highlighters that range from subtle daytime glow to insanely supercharged in expertly paired duo” they come in 4 different combinations, or you can choose from two stand alone Killawatt highlighters in the icy ‘Metal Moon’ shade or the blinding gold ‘Trophy Wife’ for the same price!
GLOSS BOMB LIPGLOSS $18 US – $30AU
Described as being “THE stop-everything, give-it-to-me gloss that feels as good as it looks. Gloss Bomb delivers explosive shine in one perfect rose nude shade handpicked by Rihanna herself: Fenty Glow. We’re talking the unicorn of nudes that looks good on everyone.
One luscious swipe of Gloss Bomb’s XXL wand gives lips more to love, while conditioning shea butter enriches from within. Lips look instantly fuller and smoother, and though it’s super shiny, it feels amazing on your lips, with an addictive peach-vanilla scent you just can’t get enough of.”
Well, if that hasn’t sold you then I don’t know what will. This will definitely be the first thing I purchase from Fenty Beauty!
INVISIMATTE BLOTTING POWDER $32 us – $ 46au
To be honest with you, when I saw that Fenty Beauty had released this I was a little taken back, not so much in a bad way, but just because it was so unexpected. I really don’t see a specific blotting product from a lot of brands, once again Rihanna is breaking the boundaries.
I feel like this could be awesome for touch ups or gals and guys that struggle with oil control throughout the day. I can’t see myself buying it personally but I feel like this is the type of product that quiet a few girls are going to be happy about. Once again, this is a universal shade and will work for any skin tone despite how white it looks.
tools & applicators!
Tools and applicators are pretty self-explanatory I’ve just added pictures of each and links if you’re interested!

Full Bodied Foundation Brush $ 34us – $ 47AU

Invisimatte Blotting Paper $ 16US – $ 24AU
Invisimatte Blotting Paper (Refill) $ 10US- $ 15AU

Until next time,

BB creams, CC creams… DD creams? To be honest it can be hard to keep up with all of these makeup potions, but lately I have had such a craving to minimise my makeup routine and start wearing something more lightweight on my skin as opposed to a heavy foundation. Cue the Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC cream. (more…)
We all have a vice – some women chocolate, some jewels, but give me a pretty handbag and a chai latte and I can take on the world! You see, up until 12 months ago I really didn’t understand the hype of handbags and how people could justify spending ridiculous amounts of money on something that you will just end up throwing your junk and receipts in, but something happened one day and it’s like almost every designer came out with these beautiful creations just calling my name, and now I get it. I really do.
In the space of a few months my handbag wish list has gone from nonexistent to absolutely ridiculous, and since my boyfriend is not interested at all in the slightest I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to chat with you all and share with you a few precious handbags that I’m lusting after!
I have separated these bags into affordable and luxury, plus I’ve also added a few dupes for some hot bags of the moment like this Cult Gaia Ark bag that is every fashion bloggers best friend this summer.
You will find most of these babies on ASOS or Net-A-Porter – my two favourite online sites – but I will link everything so if anything catches your eye click on the link and it will take you directly to it!
HIGH END/LUXURY HANDBAGS
Sophia Webster Claudie embellished leather shoulder bag
If you know me then you know something simple with an edge to it is me to a T, so whilst this bag wouldn’t be something most people would go it for keeps catching my eye!
Chloe Drew small leather & suede shoulder bag
A classic in every fashionista’s wardrobe, however this colour in particular paired with the leather and suede combo really makes it a stand alone piece and very decadent compared to the basic Drew collection.
Cult Gaia Gaia’s Ark natural . ( pssst… affordable dupe here)
The bag of the moment. It’s simplicity creates a statement without being too ostentatious.
GUCCI Padlock small appliqued studded leather shoulder bag.
HANDS DOWN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BAG I HAVE EVER LAID EYES ON.
My love for this handbag is unreal, it’s beautifully feminine yet the solid padlock, studs and angular shape give it such an edge. The price tag is quiet hefty – as one would expect for Gucci – but boy oh boy is it a piece of art.
Manu Atelier Pristine micro leather shoulder bag
So simple yet so different. I feel like this bag speaks for itself because I haven’t really seen anything quiet like it before.
New Look Circle Cross Body Bag
This bag gives me serious Chloe vibes for like a sixth of the price! This colour is so complimentary for pretty much anyone and any outfit and the gold chain and accents add a little more of a luxury look to it.
Forever New Angelica Pocket Backpack
Backpacks are SUCH a hit or miss for me, and unfortunately more often than not they are a miss but I love how inexpensive yet classy this one looks! Once again I love the basic tan colour of this because it will compliment most outfits but it will also be appropriate for a fair few places as well such as school if you’re studying!
Forever New Caterina Wing Tote
She’s pretty. I love the winged body to the bag and the size will fit pretty much everything I need for the day – pens, pencils, notebook, camera, purse, iPhone… the list goes on!
- Reclaimed Vintage Reclaimed Vintage Inspired Straw Tassell Clutch Bag
A small bag, this won’t fit a lot in it but it looks like it will be perfect for a night out this summer!
Like I said above, the GUCCI handbag is all I have been dreaming about lately!!
What handbags are you lusting over at the moment?
Until next time,
Love, Angela xx.
Once upon a time when I was a little girl, I used to believe in magic. I remember praying every single night that I would meet fairies and Peter Pan would come and fly me away to Neverland.
Looking back at it know I can only hope that one day my children believe in fairies and elves just as much as I did, because I truly believe it has had such an integral role in how I look at life as an adult. I still believe in magic, maybe not the same kind as what I once did, but in the magic that the people and places around us can bring.
So I thought I would share with you 10 ways to add a little magic into your day!
Walk barefoot on some freshly cut grass and stop to smell the roses, literally.
There is something so refreshing and magical to letting your feet press on the soft grass as if I were a child again, and taking the time to stop and appreciate all of the different sounds and smells in nature could be exactly what you need.
When I moved out of home and into a cozy little unit, I didn’t realise just how much I missed having a garden, so much so that when I went to visit my mum my first comment would always be about how lovely the garden smells. It’s the little things that are easy to take for granted, so it’s nice to stop and appreciate them once in a while.
Throw a picnic!
Don’t be fooled, picnics are not just for little children. My friends and I recently went for a picnic where we threw down some blankets on the grass and laughed till our stomachs hurt, all while indulging on strawberries dipped in chocolate, salad rolls and of course fairy bread (a classic childhood throwback).
Visit somewhere new!
You don’t need to purchase an expensive plan ticket to go somewhere new, just go exploring in your town! Maybe there’s a lovely little homestead tucked away or a maze that you and some friends or children could visit? Adventure awaits, and it’s always a lovely surprise to discover a hidden gem just around the corner.
You can read about my latest local find here.
Throw yourself a bubble bath!
Better yet, add in a bath bomb from lush and put yourself in for a lovely night of relaxing. Watch as the bath bomb dissolves, changing the water to all different colours just as if you were creating your very own potion. Wind down and relax in it, close your eyes and listen to some soothing music and let yourself wander away from anything that’s on your mind.
Look at the stars!
Ah yes, being told to go and look at the stars may be cliché but why not gaze at the very stars that have inspired centuries of magic and stories. See what you can find and just imagine the endless possibilities of what is out there in the universe that we are yet to discover!
Read your horoscope!
You don’t need to believe in horoscopes but sometimes it’s fun to see what people think will come into or out of your life based on the stars! Have a giggle, or try to find something from it to inspire you – I mean if you’ve been following these steps then you’ve just spent part of your night looking up and out at them so why not see what they have to say?
Read a book!
People say time travel doesn’t exist, but I beg to differ.
It has existed for centuries and centuries between the ink and paper pages of stories and novels. Immerse yourself in a new book and let yourself dive into the world of the characters you are reading about. I am currently reading The Duchess by Danielle Steele (here) and I’m loving it, but you could find anything that takes your interest!
CREATE AN INSPIRATION BOARD!
My mum was told once that if you hang up a cork board and pin things that are close to your heart, or wish for and look at it every day it will come true. Ever since then we have had a giant cork board in our laundry with origami we made growing up and post cards of places she had always dreamed of visiting.
Whether or not you believe this cork board will actually make those dreams come true, let it serve as inspiration and motivation to reach those goals and make your dreams come true on your own!
Have your palm read!
Go grab your friend and have your palm read to see what will supposedly happen in your future! Once again, you don’t have to believe in it completely, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see one and think back in 20 years time and some of it has actually happened?!
Start a dream journal!
I did this when I was fifteen and it was one of the best things I ever did and even though I don’t do it every day now, I try to write down what I can remember of my dreams every now and then. Your subconscious talks to you in your dreams, sometimes it’s nice to look through and analyze them to see what is really on your mind.
What are your favourite things that add a little magic into your life?
until next time,
Love Angela xx.
The world of skin care can be quite intimidating and finding the right routine for your skin can take some time, but finally after what feels like forever I have found products that don’t just work with my skin but they work well together too. (more…)
I’m not really sure how I’m going to start this series of blog posts or what I’m even going to title them, but I thought that once a week I would maybe do a cheeky little life update and share with you guys a weekly roundup of things that I have been loving! (more…)
As the cooler weather is here to say hello and the nights are darker, there is nothing more comforting than a hearty and warm dinner! Personally, my favourite dinners are the ones that I don’t have to cook but nonetheless this recipe is delicious, easy and such a crowd pleaser! Seriously, even my picky AF nephews and boyfriend LOVE this meal and it’s great to get those veggies in them! (more…)
Another day, another post and today I’m going to be listing out my current beauty essentials for Winter! Our environment and weather has such a huge effect on our skin and how our makeup applies so it is very important (in my opinion anyway) to make sure that I am switching up my products depending on what my skin needs at the time.
