For Christmas I was lucky enough to receive an amazing Sephora gift card from my boyfriend’s very generous parents and I thought that I’d jump on here and share with you all everything I got in a cheeky little Sephora haul, because it’s got me so excited to get back into the beauty world and produce some more beauty content for my blog!!
The first item to fall into my basket was the Starters Skin & Colour Set (Limited edition) by Tarte which is a Christmas gift set that came with the Deep Dive Foaming cleanser, Maracuja C-Brighter eye gel, the Brighter days highlighting moisturiser – which is ace as a primer – an amazonian clay smart mascara mini and the Drink of H20 Moisturiser. Going into Sephora I knew that I wanted to buy a cleanser, moisturiser and eye cream so when I saw this gift set – that was conveniently 30% off I might add – I just had to put it in my basket. I mean, it had all of the skin care products that I needed and it was on sale so it was a no brainer really! Like all skin care products I really like to test them out for a few weeks before I give a review so if you are interested in knowing my thoughts on Tarte’s skin care range let me know and i’ll put up a more in-depth review, but for the minute I am LOVING it all!
The next item that was on my list was a beauty blender. Now believe it or not I had never used or owned a beauty blender up until this point – Shocking, I know – so I decided to go with the Midas Touch limited edition kit that came with a full sized beauty blender and a cleansing solid. I thought it would be handy to have a cleansing solid with it to help me out when I need to clean my beauty sponges PLUS since it was a christmas set it was on sale for another 30% off too just like my Tarte skin care gift set! Winning!
Following on from my beauty blender, the next picks that I had to have weren’t actually makeup products so to speak but makeup brushes! I had been after a highlighter brush for some time now that wasn’t a fan brush so I grabbed the Zoeva 105 Luxe highlight brush and daaaaang…. It’s super soft & applies my highlight so much better than my fan brushes ever did! Once I felt how good the bristles were on that brush I decided that I wanted to get the powder brush as well but they were sold out so I went with the Sephora pro #61 All Over Powder brush. TBH I really didn’t have high hopes for this brush – don’t ask me why but I just assumed that since it was a Sephora home brand product the quality would be pretty average – but I was so wrong. I might even be so bold to say that this is the best quality brush I have ever owned! It feels nice and weighted with a longer handle than your regular brush; it has a dense brush head that is perfect for putting down your powders and maximising coverage and there was no shedding whatsoever. Honestly this brush was such an unexpected love for me and I just HAD to let you guys know about this hidden gem!
Like a kid in the candy store I then spotted a few items while I was waiting in line for the till that I just had to chuck into my basket – God help my children if I have any haha. I grabbed some more sephora Christmas gifts that were on sale like this g o r g e o u s rose gold fox makeup clutch. I honestly died a little as soon as I saw it because 1) It’s stinkin’ cute 2) It’s rose gold and 3) Think of all the cute pics I can take with it! haha if you blog then i’m sure you can definitely relate to that point haha! Anyway, that was down to $11.20 and I also grabbed a fox sleeping mask too to help me get some shut eye along with the Benefit Boing concealer and highlight duo, an ABH Brow wiz in chocolate & and BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfecter mini in my fav Opal!
Like I said, I am SO excited to get back into the beauty and makeup world so expect a lot more beauty related posts! Have you purchased any new products lately? Let me know what’s on your wishlist in the comments below !
