Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Primer and Setting Spray Review

Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Primer and Setting Spray Review

Hi Babes, with the festive season fast approaching and rough morning-afters on the cards, I figured now would be the perfect time to do a review on the latest beauty hero to hit the stores, the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 primer and setting spray!

So let’s get into the details..

Where can you buy it? Mecca (direct link here)
How much does it cost? $ 46.00
How much product do you get? 120ml
What skin type can use this? Sensitive, dry, normal & combination. (*personal opinion, always patch test first)
Rating: 7.5 out of 10

Starting with the packaging as always, it comes in a lovely little pink spray bottle with gold trimmings and the standard information about the product. The nozzle of the spray – yes, I’m totally going there because this is the stuff that you NEED to know – seems to be okay! You definitely do need to give yourself a full arms distance between your face and the bottle to get a nice and even mist without poking an eye out or leaving any water marks on your face but that is standard and they do specify to keep a distance of 6-8 inches.

Digging a little deeper into the details of the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 primer and setting spray I can tell you that it is free from alcohol, silicone and oil (sensitive skin gals, rejoice!) and it comes with 120ml / 4.0 Fl. Oz of product (full-sized), which in comparison to other similar products by other brands is quite generous! For example, the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea 4-in-1 setting mist comes with only 79.93ml of product, and the Smashbox Photo Finish primer water comes with 166ml of product.

Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 replenishing primer and setting spray

What I really like about this primer spray is that it leaves the skin feeling nice and tacky once applied, which is a total turn on for some beauty junkies like myself, and also that my foundation applied so smoothly over it just like they claimed. PS. It’s probably also worth noting that it hasn’t reacted to any of my foundations in a negative way either (water, oil or silicone based) which is ahmaaazing because mismatching your foundation and primer can result in some serious separation issues all over your face throughout the day!

As for its functionality as a setting spray however, I personally don’t think it’s that great. Just like it claims to be, the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 primer and setting spray is SUPER hydrating, to the point where I feel like my makeup can look oily very quickly if I use it as a setting spray, plus my makeup continued to transfer like crazy which is why I probably wouldn’t recommend this to someone with oily skin.

I just much prefer it as a primer or skin refresher on no makeup days!

Until next time,
Love, Angela xx.
