A Party Face.

A Party Face.

Hi pumpkins,

With the festive and party season just around the corner, I decided I would share with you all my recent go to party makeup – a peachy pink full glam look with glitter!

The Base.

For the base makeup I like to start off with a primer to help lock in my makeup for the night and to prep my skin.
Lately I have been in LOVE with the Mecca Cosmetica plumping balm.

For foundation I used the trusty NARS sheer glow foundation in the shade deauville. This foundation is absolutely stunning however it is only a medium-ish coverage, so when I have an event or go out wearing this I like to add a second layer to really amp up that coverage.

For parties and events my holy grail concealer is the Tarte shape tape concealer. I’m sure I’ve spoken about this product before on my blog but this is the bomb if you want something with insane coverage. I like to put three dots of this concealer under my eyes, and then a little line on my cupids bow, down my nose and in the centre of my forehead to help lighten up the centre of my face.

To be honest I haven’t really been into intense contouring lately, usually a little bronzer strategically placed on my face is enough on the day-to-day makeup routine, but for a  party I wanna go all out so I am using the STILA shape & shade custom contour duo to cream contour my cheek bones, temples and jawline.

Setting the base!

To set the majority of my base I am taking the MAC studio fix powder in NC30.
Rather than swirling it all over my face I take a flat top brush and press it in all over my skin.
(This is a super handy tip if you suffer from redness and acne like I used to, because swirling your brush on your face is just going to irritate the skin).

To add some warmth and start thinning out my face a little, I like to use my Physician’s formula butter bronzer which smells like a coconut lover’s dream and place that lightly over where I contoured.

The Eyes.

Using the Jaclyn Hill palette by Morphe & Jaclyn Hill, I start off by taking Silk Creme, a lovely neutral light brown and slowly build it up just above my eyelid crease as a transition shade until my eye has some definition.

To deepen my crease and the outer corner of my eye I then take Mocha, a rich coffee brown as the name suggests and place this lightly in the actual crease and then really deepen out the outer corner in small back and forth brush movements.

There are two stars of the show in this look, and it’s these two products here for the center of my eyelid.
Firstly as a base I go in with the dreamy coral-ish pink shimmer shade called Little Lady from the Jaclyn Hill Palette, and then put the STILA magnificent metals liquid eyeshadow in rose gold retro right on top.

To finish off the eyes I put on a coat of mascara and applied the Dani Beauty luxe lashes in SHOOK.

The last thing that I need to do is line my lips and apply lipstick.
For liner I used the Rimmel lasting finish lip liner in 049 natural and for lipstick I topped it off with Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ liquid lipstick in chrysanthemum. It’s a beautiful light pink with incredibly fine gold reflects.

Until next time,

Love, Angela xx.
