What a crazy time this first week of 2017 is! I can hardly keep up with what day it is let alone the time – for all the right reasons! Admittedly, it is only day 4 of the year but I have never been so focused in my life!
Today, I will show you how I created this look! It has been such a hit with my family and friends and thought I would share it with you all!
This look is edgy and sultry and so easy to create for any occasion, whether it is a romantic night with someone in your life or just to run some errands!
If you prefer to watch, you can also see me create this look here on my youtube channel.
To create this look I started off with some Nivea Men’s sensitive post shave balm as my primer. I take a small dollop of this onto my hands and warm it up with my fingers before applying all over my face.
I would recommend starting with your eyeshadow first when working with highly pigmented shadows such as blacks and reds but for some strange reason I instead I went straight into my base. For foundation I used the MAC Studio Sculpt foundation and buffed a generous amount of the product all over my face using the famous Morphe M439 round top brush for a beautiful airbrushed finish.
The next step to creating a flawless canvas for this look is to use some concealer. I took the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer in light and drew two triangle shapes under my eyes, a small amount on my cupids bow, chin and I also reverse contoured by drawing two lines on the lower part of my cheekbones. Normally I would recommend blending this out with a beauty sponge but I used the Morphe S94 for this occasion.
To contour, I used the gorgeous STILA Shape & Shade Custom Contour Duo in Light/Medium and drew two lines along the hollows of my cheeks as well as a small amount on my temple and jaw line. Once again, I blended this out with my Morphe M439 brush.
The next step to ensure every step we have taken so far lasts is to set our face! I went in with the rimmel clear complexion transparent powder – fantastically priced and does a good job – over the areas we have highlighted and my MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC30 over the rest of my face.
Finally, I used the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess bronzer and lightly dusted some over the areas we contoured and the Too Faced Justify my love blush on my cheeks.
Moving onto eyes!
I quickly filled in my eyebrows using the Chi Chi Brow pomade in Soft Brown and tidied them up with some concealer and a small brush around the edges.
The main event of this entire look is the eyes, and for this I used the ever so gorgeous Too Faced Love Palette.
Firstly, with a fluffy crease brush I started off with the shade Romance and deposited this all over my crease and on my lower lash line with a small pencil brush.
Secondly, with any regular eyeshadow brush I took the incredible shade Adore with is the rose gold/copper simmer shadow on the palette and popped that all over my entire lid!
Hint: to make this pop even more damped your brush slightly or spray it with MAC Fix +.
Finally, I used the black shadow from the palette called Amorous and with a smaller tapered brush I smoked this into the outer corner of my eye.
Now that our eyeshadow is completed, I drew on a thick wing using my Maybelline Hypersharpe Liquid Liner and popped on a pair of false lashes.
To really tie the entire look together, I popped NYX Liquid Lingerie Lipstick in Push Up on my lips.
Until next time.
