2016 Beauty Favourites

2016 Beauty Favourites

Hello everyone!

I’m sure you can tell by my last two blog posts that I am on somewhat of an annual review bandwagon, and to keep the ball rolling I thought it would be the perfect time to show you my favourite beauty products of 2016!

I am a self-confessed makeup and beauty junkie! I love the creativity of it all and the fact that you can completely change or enhance your features to however you would like!! Wearing makeup has given me so much confidence, and somehow it’s also managed to let me be comfortable without it also! I’m not really sure how that works since it kind of contradicts itself but when I wear makeup I feel like a goddess, and even when I don’t (which is around 3 days a week) I feel just as good, even in public.

Anyway, 2016 was a year full of plenty of new cosmetic products and I thought I would share with you the products I have found in 2016 and I could not live without anymore!

Love, Angela xo

Essano Rosehip Moisture Restorative Night Crème

This year I discovered Rosehip. BEST. DISCOVERY. EVER.
My skin is so obsessed with this night creme in particular however it is quiet thick and can feel almost drying when you first put it on your face before bed, but when you wake up your skin will feel so supple and hydrated to the core! If you are oily I would probably stay away from this night creme but if you are on the dry/normal spectrum I would 100% recommend this product!

I purchased mine at Priceline for $ 19.99

ESSANO Rosehip Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

Following on from the ESSANO Rosehip night Créme I have to talk about the Essano Rosehip oil. It is a Acai Berry oil that intensely hydrates and promotes new skin. I use this everywhere! On my face, on my neck and also on areas that tend to get stretch marks or scarring. All I do is put two drops on my face, two drops on my neck and one in those areas morning and night and I am good to go! I love that this product doesn’t feel thick or heavy, is absorbed almost instantly and it hasn’t broken me out at all! It has become such a part of my every day routine!

I purchased mine at priceline for $ 34.99

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser

Technically I discovered this moisturiser in late December of 2015 BUT I didn’t start using it religiously until 2016. I have gone through three tubs on this moisturiser in the past year and it has been so worth it! My skin is incredibly sensitive to skin care, especially moisturisers, it has to have the right consistency because if it’s too thick it wont absorb properly and will break me out, if its to thin it can leave my skin feeling weird etc.. so it’s so hard to find something that is the right consistency and provides the amount of hydration that I need.
I can hands down say that If I had to get rid of every single cosmetic or skin care product I have and choose one to live with for the rest of my life it would be this moisturiser. It is a gel like consistency, oil free and provides the most beautiful hydration and leaves my skin feelings like silk! I can’t be lying if I’ve gone through three whole jars of it!

I purchased mine at Myer for $ 60.00

Clinique

Lotus Sephora sheet mask

Obviously 2016 was a year of amazing skin products for me, thank god! This Sephora collection Lotus face mask is so refreshing and calming on my sensitive skin and for $ 6.00 it has easily become one of my favourites.
The Lotus face mask locks in water to reduce the signs of fatigue and strain for a stress-free and rested appearance and it doesn’t leave that horrible slimey feeling on your skin! I literally just massage the excess product that is left on my face into my skin like a moisturiser and I’m good to go!

You can get them at Sephora for $ 6.00.

Hourglass Vanish Foundation

I absolutely hands down LOVE this foundation! It is so blendable, pigmented and the packaging of it is so sick nasty that I honestly don’t understand how other brands haven’t released stick foundations in this shape before.
It can cling to dry patches on your skin so I always moisturise with an intense moisturiser and I also make sure that I use an illuminating or hydrating primer to keep this foundation looking impeccable.

You can buy this foundation at mecca for $ 67.00.

Pretty, Fun & Fearless Palette – Chloe Morello x Ciaté London

If you know me in real life, or follow my blog or youtube channel then you will know that I am ride or die for this palette! The shadows are so buttery, blendable, pigmented and smooth that I literally get excited every time I decide I’m going to create a look using them. The colours are so versatile with a perfect mix of mattes, shimmers, highlights and pops of colours and the packaging certainly lives up to the name of pretty and fun!

Unfortunately this was a limited edition piece and seems to be sold out now! I purchased the beauty haul from Mecca for $ 70.00.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

The Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer has only been in my collection for a month but it has already proved itself to be one of my most reached for concealers! It is lightweight and leaves a beautiful finish on the skin, and the application is really easy to use which I love!
I wouldn’t recommend this concealer to conceal spot blemishes but for highlighting under the eyes and shaping your face I would totally recommend this!

I purchased mine at Priceline for $ 18.95
